Queen Elizabeth II 's funeral will be held at Westminster Abbey in London on September 19 .
The new King Charles III announced that the funeral day would be a bank holiday , and all British people would have a day off .
Amazon has announced it will "pause" deliveries during the Queen's funeral , with its BHX1 distribution centre in Rugeley set to close on September 19.
In addition to Amazon, several other British e-commerce companies and courier companies have announced that they will stop deliveries on September 19 as a sign of respect for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal Mail
The Royal Mail has announced that all of its services will be suspended for one day on September 19. The British monarch and the Royal Mail have enjoyed a close relationship for over 500 years , ever since King Henry VIII was appointed the first Postmaster General .
The Royal Mail said the Queen continues this close relationship and plays an active role in the selection and approval of stamps.
Royal Mail chief executive Simon Thompson said the Royal Mail would play a vital role in delivering messages of condolence to the Royal Family from around the world in the coming days .
Amazon
Amazon is slightly different from other delivery companies in that it only suspends deliveries during funerals, rather than the entire day, so customers can receive their packages outside of funeral services .
An Amazon spokesperson said: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II . Amazon will observe bank holiday regulations and all UK employees will be given additional leave so they can pay their respects and mourn . "
Evri
Courier company Evri will also stop all deliveries on September 19 as a mark of respect for Her Majesty the Queen.
An Evri spokesperson said: "We will join the world in mourning for Queen Elizabeth II on September 19, so we will stop all deliveries on the day of the funeral . All deliveries will resume as normal on September 20. "
DPD
Courier service DPD has confirmed its delivery and collection services will be suspended on September 19 .
A DPD spokesman said: " The decision was made out of respect for Her Majesty the Queen and to enable DPD staff to pay their respects and mark her historic reign . "
Asos
Fashion retailer Asos will take a bank holiday and suspend delivery services on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral .
An Asos spokesman said most Asos staff would stop working on the day of the Queen's funeral and the company 's carrier partners would also stop delivery services .
The British government announced on its official website that it would not force the suspension or postponement of commercial operations, entertainment services, and sports activities in the UK during the national mourning period .
