Mark Zuckerberg announced that US sellers can now sell products through Instagram’s direct messaging feature .

" In the US, you can buy items and track your order through Instagram chat . Then pay with Meta Pay and check out in just a few clicks, " said Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg .

Meta said that one billion people share product information with relatives and friends through private messages every week. In order to better connect merchants and consumers, Meta launched a new feature that allows sellers to bring goods directly through Instagram private messages.

If your store is compliant, you can market to your customers without leaving the chat window. For example, if your customer sends you a message asking about one of your products, you can chat with them about what they need, and then they can place an order directly in the chat window. Customers can also check the logistics status of their order through the content in the chat record and ask you any follow-up questions.
