Customs cracks down on infringing goods, tens of thousands of products are inspected!

As cross-border trade becomes increasingly active, it is particularly important to combat infringing and smuggled goods in order to protect the rights and interests of consumers. The attitude of customs in various regions towards infringing goods is very clear: strict investigation and crackdown, zero tolerance.

According to information released by the customs, in 2021, customs across the country seized 79,000 batches of suspected infringing import and export goods, totaling 71.8 million pieces.

In the new year, customs in various regions are further strengthening their efforts to crack down on infringing products. Just on the eve of the Spring Festival, a large number of infringing goods were seized.

Not long ago, Foshan Customs seized 6,786 infringing goods, including watches and headphones, suspected of infringing the trademark rights of " Apple, Xiaomi " and others. Dongguan Customs also seized 2,500 charging heads that infringed the intellectual property rights of " SAMSUNG ". Previously, these infringing goods were marked as unbranded "mobile phone accessories" when they were declared.

In January, Meishan Customs also seized 255,000 cigarette papers printed with the words " smoking and graphics " from a batch of plastic toys declared for export by a company. After confirmation by the right holder, the batch of cigarette papers was found to be infringing products. In addition, when inspecting a batch of goods declared for export, Meishan Customs officers also found 6,624 pieces of hydrating sunscreen suspected of infringing the " vichy " trademark.

In addition to cosmetics and electronic products, infringing products also include many categories such as stationery and toys. Most people who intend to sell these infringing products are lucky, lack legal awareness or want to get away with it, but they don't know that they will only suffer in the end.

It is understood that since 2021, the General Administration of Customs has successively deployed targeted special law enforcement operations such as "Operation Dragon 2021" , "Operation Blue Net 2021", and "Operation Clean Net 2021" to strengthen intellectual property protection , with remarkable results.

In terms of intellectual property protection, in addition to the protection of relevant departments, it also depends on the self-discipline of sellers. When sellers export goods, they must not touch the bottom line of the law. Maintaining legal and compliant operations in the new year is the way to long-term survival .
