Being an Amazon seller is not easy. In addition to worrying about being blocked by Amazon, you also have to worry about your products selling too well and being targeted by "bad-intentioned" peers... Recently, when browsing the official forum of Amazon US, the editor found that another seller’s product link was maliciously attacked by his peers, causing great damage to his daily business.
The seller, named "Wren_hand_Tools," said he was a self-delivery seller and no one except himself could access his Amazon account. The affected product is a special wrench used in the construction industry, which is currently his best-selling item on Amazon, with 2-6 units sold every day.
Since last week, the available inventory quantity for this product has been changing randomly, sometimes from 200 to 3000, sometimes the available inventory is in single digits, and sometimes it is zero. When the product inventory is zero, the seller does not make any sales for the whole day , which seriously hurts his business on Amazon.
The seller tried to contact Amazon every day, but did not get an effective response. After receiving tips from other sellers under the post, "Wren_hand_Tools" realized that he was being "pranked" by his peers.
Pranks are also common, such as buying out a competitor's inventory by maliciously placing orders in order to affect the other party's sales. After checking his account, "Wren_hand_Tools" found that he had 47 pages and 697 canceled orders in the past seven days. Previously, he was the only seller of this product on Amazon.com, and now there is a new seller selling the same product.
It is not clear whether the spoofing of "Wren_hand_Tools" was caused by this new seller, but it is certain that the malicious cancellation of a large number of orders in a short period of time will affect the health of the "Wren_hand_Tools" account. If this situation continues, the "Wren_hand_Tools" account is likely to be blocked.
In this case, sellers can only set the maximum purchase quantity of the product to 1 or 2 in the background to limit malicious purchases. However, this method is not a long-term solution, and it is possible that the pranksters will mobilize a large number of buyer accounts to continue the prank.
It has to be said that there are endless spoofs on Amazon. When sellers encounter similar situations, they must take screenshots to preserve key evidence and safeguard their legal rights! Amazon Parody |
