eBay recently released the latest research report on the French game market, which shows that since the outbreak of the epidemic, the sales of French game products have increased significantly. eBay survey data shows that consumers said that due to the special circumstances of the epidemic, they have more time to improve their gaming equipment as they spend more time at home. The demand for hardware equipment such as computer hardware, desktop computers, monitors, computer desks, etc. has increased, and the search volume of these gaming equipment on the eBay platform has increased by 29.3%, 17.7% and 86.1% respectively. Gaming equipment such as keyboards also achieved sales growth, reaching 36.5%, and sales of joysticks increased by 57.9%.

In addition to electronic game equipment, game cards and other products are also hot-selling on eBay. Peripheral products such as Pokémon game cards have become popular again since 2020. French consumers have shown enthusiasm for purchasing game products.

eBay also conducted a group ratio analysis of the French video game market, in which nearly half of the male and female respondents said they "occasionally play games", more than 60% of the male group said they "often play games", and the proportion of the female group was 40%. The vast majority of game groups are young people.

In addition to electronic game products, game-related peripheral products are also selling well. The search volume for products such as gaming headsets and gaming computer chairs on eBay has increased.
