Best things for everything, Google launches new micro shopping site

According to Mashable, search engine giant Google just launched a new microsite called Best Things for Everything on March 26, which lists the top 1,000 products on the Internet.

Users can view 8 product categories including electronics, home, parenting, pets, and care on the website , or directly enter keywords to search

Based on Google search data, users may easily find product displays for "best exercise bikes" and "best air fryers" because the search volume for these products has increased by more than 100% year-on-year, and the 1,000 products Google chose to display were also carefully selected from last year's most popular product catalogs.

When clicking to view product details, customers can learn general information about the product such as product description, price, shipping cost, and user reviews. Customers who don’t want to wait too long can also filter by the “Available Nearby” option to see nearby stores and whether they have available stock or if they provide curbside pickup.

If customers want to buy a product, they need to visit the website where the product is located directly. However, what is interesting is that consumers can directly compare the prices of similar products from multiple brands to make the best choice

However, there is no perfect website in the world, and since this microsite of Google only covers 1,000 carefully selected popular products, some customers' searches may not get corresponding results.

However, just like the comments on the Mashable website, the user reviews under most products on Google's Best Things for Everything microsite are authentic and credible, so consumers can further read user reviews and gain in-depth understanding of product information before making a purchase.

This navigation website of Google perfectly reflects the value of its search data. As the "big brother" in the search engine industry , Google has taken advantage of the "right time and right place" to cross over to the e-commerce industry. Even if Google does not develop another e-commerce website to sell products, it can "have no worries about food and clothing" just through this kind of navigation website and paid search on the search results page.

Google will definitely have more new moves in the e-commerce field in the future, so let us wait and see!
