Indian consumer electronics manufacturer Havells: India's demand for fans may continue to grow

Havells, India's leading consumer electronics manufacturer , recently reported an increase in fan sales in the third quarter , which has reached pre- pandemic levels, and expects demand for such products to continue to grow.

Havells predicts that demand for fans will continue to grow this summer , product sales will be considerable , and the company will continue to innovate and launch new products .

RS Negi, president of Havells India, said: " The company 's performance has reached pre-pandemic levels. Sales of fans increased in the third quarter and the growth momentum is expected to continue. "

Havells is focusing on the premium category of Rs 3,000 and above , which accounts for nearly 8-10% of the market share.

The company is ready to capitalize on the sales potential of high-end fans by launching new products in this segment, which will drive the market to some extent . Summer is an important season for fans , accounting for about 45% of total sales in the industry , ” Negi said.

Havells continues to launch new products, such as ceiling fans with three-stage air purifiers, fans focusing on "healthy living", and small fans with mobile charging capabilities.

“The electric fan market is a highly competitive and evolving market , so for Havells , understanding customer needs and creating a product that enhances the user experience is our top priority and is the centerpiece. Air pollution is a concern, and people are paying more and more attention to their health. Using an air purifier is the choice of most people, and being able to ensure the health and happiness of their family is the most important thing, said Negi .

Fans are one of the most popular products in India, with 74% of households having a fan, according to the Indian Fan Manufacturers Association .

Survey data shows that by 2025, India's wealthy population is expected to reach 23 million, and a huge consumer market is taking shape. It is not yet known how much Indians will demand for fans in the future, but it is certain that people's demand for home appliances and upgrades will rise rapidly, and the potential of this market in the future must be huge.
