Breaking the US$1 million barrier in 10 days! Brand merchants are accelerating sales on AliExpress

In addition to traditional small and light items, cross-border e-commerce is ushering in a new wave of growth.

We learned from multiple brand merchants that during the AliExpress June promotion, the sales of its best-selling items exceeded one million US dollars in 10 days. Among them are well-known Chinese brands that have long been household names such as Xiaomi and Lenovo, as well as emerging brands in the fields of home improvement, cycling, and pets.

"Our customer orders are $450, and the platform subsidies are quite good." A cycling brand from Xiamen said that they joined AliExpress's "10 billion subsidies for Chinese brands going global" plan in March this year, and their GMV in that month increased by 200% year-on-year. Now, they have formed a separate AliExpress team to shoot and operate products, and this year's sales are aimed at 10 million US dollars.

A cross-border seller from Shenzhen, which mainly deals in home decoration, also saw the opportunity of the 10 billion subsidy brand to go global. Previously, the company's main sales channels were Amazon and offline. In May, it joined the 10 billion subsidy at the invitation of the AliExpress clerk, just in time for the overseas 618 promotion. The sales of a single product reached one million US dollars, which also led to an explosion in the sales of the entire store, which increased five times compared to the performance of the March promotion. "It's mainly because of the 10 billion subsidy traffic and exposure."

For brands aiming to expand overseas, AliExpress’ “10 billion subsidies” is undoubtedly an excellent booster, very suitable for quickly promoting high-quality products from 0 to 1.

"Consumers' shopping needs must be diversified, and we are now able to give them more choices," said the person in charge of the 10 billion yuan subsidy of AliExpress. In addition to the abundant supply of small and light items brought by the strong supply chain, Made in China also has many new designs, new products, and new brands that represent high-quality productivity, which are extremely competitive in terms of quality and price.

"What the 10 billion yuan subsidy is doing now is to achieve the unity of high quality and good prices through platform subsidies, and help these high-value commodities open up more efficient overseas channels." The person in charge said.

For overseas consumers, when they open the AliExpress App, they can see the new "Big Save" channel on the first screen. Products participating in the "10 billion subsidies" will be displayed here and will be marked with the "Brand" gold label.

In April this year , AliExpress's "10 billion subsidies for Chinese brands going global" project surfaced, which was called AliExpress's No. 1 project in 2024. The investment targets include cross-border big sellers, Tmall brand merchants, etc. Analysts believe that on the basis of the comprehensive improvement of supply chain fulfillment capabilities, AliExpress needs high-priced supply to seek greater growth space.
