Under the banner of allowing everyone to shop like a billionaire, Temu instantly became popular in the United States and Europe. Its ultra-low prices and various discount tags made Westerners dazzled.
However, behind this prosperous scene, there may be thousands of domestic sellers who are silently enduring. It is understood that in addition to being subject to price cuts, Temu sellers' products also need to undergo regular quality inspections by the platform. Sometimes products that sell well suddenly fail quality inspections without any reason given.
Recently, a Temu seller reported his own experience. Not only did the goods suddenly fail the quality inspection, but 80% of the returned goods were scrapped. He directly said that the platform does not treat the merchants' money as money.
According to the seller, there was no problem with the quality of his products, and he had been selling them on Temu for a while, with a rating of around 4.5. But this time the quality inspection failed, and the goods were returned, but when they were received, 80% of them were scrapped due to violent transportation.
Curious people would ask what the quality inspection standards of the platform are. The seller’s answer was “there is no standard”. After selling thousands of pieces, the goods suddenly failed the quality inspection, and he still doesn’t know why.
In fact, this situation is not an isolated case. After investigation, it was found that many Temu sellers said they had encountered similar situations.
"It happened to me too. I sold thousands of goods but suddenly they failed the quality inspection. All the goods I sent back, whether they were good or bad, were returned. However, my product has a 4.9 rating, and the only negative review was from a buyer who said the color was not good-looking, not the quality."
In response to this situation, some people suggest that you can find the buyers and tell them once so that the goods can be successfully put into storage, but it may be troublesome if you do it too many times.
Secondly, Temu's logistics is also a common complaint among sellers and consumers . "They don't use cartons at all. They just pack a bunch of products in a bag and ship them across the ocean. How can the product damage rate not be high?"
Even overseas Chinese came to complain, "Every time I receive a bunch of garbage, the EU standards are supposed to be so strict, how did these products pass CE?" "I bought it once, the quality was terrible, and I was too lazy to return it. I probably won't buy it again."
In order to keep costs to a minimum, Temu does need to save money in many areas, but if this continues for a long time, not only will consumers have a bad experience, but sellers may also find it difficult to sustain. Temu Seller Quality Inspection |
