Be careful when entering the market! Some "Russian-Ukrainian peripherals" have been banned from sale on multiple platforms

As the Russian-Ukrainian war broke out, the war between the two countries attracted a lot of attention. The situation of the Russian-Ukrainian war is worrying. For cross-border sellers, the war has also had a certain impact on cross-border trade.

Amazon sellers are always good at finding business opportunities from various international events. A few days ago, a large number of cross-border sellers rushed to the Amazon BestSellers list with their "Russian-Ukrainian peripheral" products, especially the Ukrainian flag, which was so popular that it rushed to the first place in the category.

However, opportunities and risks always coexist. While the "Russian-Ukrainian peripheral" products are hot-selling, some products are also facing the risk of being removed from the platform. According to foreign media reports, Amazon is currently removing T-shirts and sweatshirts with the "Z" symbol logo.

The Russian army has used tanks and other military equipment with the letter " Z " printed on them as an identification symbol , which some believe is a symbol of support for Russia's war with Ukraine. On Amazon, these products are described as "Russian Z symbol military armed forces tank armored T-shirts" and are priced between £12 and £20.

The Association of Ukrainians in Britain ( AUGB) has called on Amazon to remove the items as soon as possible and make a donation to charities helping Ukraine as an apology for not having a strict enough vetting system. Iryna Terlecky, a board member of the association, said: "We are appalled that any retailer would sell items with war symbols on them."

Subsequently, these related products with the "Z" symbol have been removed from the Amazon platform.

In addition to Amazon, other e-commerce platforms are also banning the sale of certain products related to the Russian-Ukrainian war . eBay said on Tuesday that it would remove items on its platform that expressed support for Russian President Vladimir Putin after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war . However, this policy will not prevent the sale of "historical or educational books and materials."

For Amazon sellers, it may not be a dream to seize the opportunity and become rich overnight. However, it is not clear how long the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will last, and the e-commerce platform is becoming more strict in reviewing related products. Whether to enter the market and make related products requires multiple considerations and good risk control.
