Clothing problems frequently occur, and Chinese products are recalled again

The recalled children's pajamas are made of 100% micro polyester fabric and are available in sizes from 3T to 12. The colors are also very distinctive, with 22 kinds of colorful tie-dye and rainbow colors. The pajamas also have sewn side seam tapes and internal buttons, and the side seam labels have instructions for the size of the clothing.

The styles are also unique, and some pajamas have hoods with unicorn decoration features such as manes, ears and horns. The label on the back has fiber content, washing instructions and the words "Made in China".

This type of pajamas was sold on Amazon from January to May 2021 at a price of approximately US$30. The recall involves approximately 3,500 pieces.

The reason for the recall is also a common problem in the children's clothing category, that is, this model does not meet the flammability standards for children's pajamas and there is a risk of burns to children . No accident reports have been received so far.

According to the recommendations of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers should stop using the product immediately. Sellers will also communicate with consumers through Amazon's messaging platform and provide prepaid mail to return the product and obtain a full refund.

Recalls due to non-compliance with flammability standards are a common problem in children's clothing. Many previous recalls were due to this reason. SHEIN also recalled about 2,000 children's pajamas for this reason. In the eyes of many buyers, the possibility of children being at risk of burns due to clothing problems during normal use is very low, but since there are requirements for this in the clothing category standards, sellers still have to remember to follow and check themselves.
