With a compound annual growth rate of 5.1%, the global learning and educational toys market is huge

According to foreign media reports, the increase in demand from children and young people , coupled with the emergence of bar and cafe games, has driven the growth of the global learning and educational toys market.

Xinhua-PRNewswire Joint Market Research recently published a report that analyzed and predicted the industry development of learning and educational toys in the next decade . In 2020, the global learning and educational toys industry generated US$49.97 billion in revenue and is expected to reach US$81.29 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 5.1% from 2021 to 2030.

Increasing demand from children and young adults, reduction in carbon footprint and surge in environmental initiatives, and emergence of pub and café games are driving the growth of the global learning and educational toys market.

However, tariffs, growing digitalization, and widespread adoption of smartphones have hampered the market growth. On the contrary, the untapped potential of developing markets and the rapid growth of online retail platforms are expected to open up new opportunities for market players in the future.

In terms of product type, the sports and outdoor toys segment dominated the market in 2020, accounting for nearly one-third of the global learning and educational toys market. In addition, due to the increasing popularity of this sport among children and adults, this segment is expected to grow at the highest CAGR of 4.9% during the forecast period. The report includes analysis of building sets, games and puzzles, etc.

In terms of distribution channels, the specialty stores segment held the largest share in 2020, contributing about one-third of the global learning and educational toys market, as they provide high-quality services with detailed product specifications and expert guidance.

However, the online channel segment is expected to grow at the highest CAGR of 6.5% between 2021 and 2030 owing to the ease of obtaining product information and a large consumer base.

By region, the global learning and educational toys market in Asia Pacific, followed by North America, held the largest share in 2020, accounting for more than one-third of the market.

Furthermore, the region is expected to register the highest CAGR of 7.1% during the forecast period owing to the large rural population, increasing urbanization, female participation in the labor force, and rising disposable income.
