Against this background, color cosmetics recorded positive growth for the first time since March 2020 , with sales increasing by 12% from June to August 2021 compared with the same period in 2020. Among them, the increase in mascara was 31%, the increase in powder was 28% , and the increase in eye shadow was 25% . Thanks to the wearing of masks , eye cosmetics, such as mascara , eyeliner, eye shadow, etc., are the main driving force for growth.
In addition, sales of complexion cosmetics also increased by 2% from June to August 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. As people prefer a more natural look, sales of bronzer powder increased by 6% . At the same time, tinted creams also increased by 3% compared to last year and 6 % compared to 2019. This confirms that consumers continue to have a strong interest in products that combine the advantages of makeup and skincare.
