Amazon's delivery fees increased by 5.2%, and 90% of sellers complained that the increase was too large!

Early this morning, sellers were furious because Amazon was going to increase its service fees again!

FBA delivery fees are going to increase! Amazon US announced that in order to reflect the rising operating costs, starting January 18, 2022, Amazon will adjust Amazon logistics fees, and the delivery rate will increase by an average of 5.2%. For all large standard-size items (except clothing), Amazon will use the larger value of the product weight or volume weight to determine the delivery weight.

Removal and disposal fees are also going up! Amazon will also increase removal and disposal fees in line with changing costs. Cleanup fees will remain the same and will be lower than removal or disposal service fees.

Amazon will increase the monthly storage fees for standard-size and oversized items during the off-season ( January-September); the peak-season storage fees (October-December) will remain unchanged.

In addition, Amazon will introduce a tiered rate structure for long-term storage fees, which is a surcharge on top of the monthly storage fee, including a storage fee for inventory stored for 271-365 days. This change will take effect on May 15, 2022.

Amazon will also increase the fees for FBA pre-processing services, as well as launch and charge fees for Amazon Logistics rating and resale services. Amazon will announce the details before the first quarter of 2022.

Another point is that for the Amazon Logistics Small and Light program, Amazon will increase the maximum weight requirement for items from 12 ounces to 3 pounds.

After reading this announcement, the only thing I can think of is rising, rising, and rising.

Some sellers said that this year, the cost of raw materials, shipping, air transportation, and labor have all risen rapidly, and it is understandable that Amazon has increased logistics costs. However, more sellers said that they could not accept it. According to the official poll launched by Amazon, as of 10:30 today, 93% of people were dissatisfied and said that the increase was too large.

That being said, as long as you stay on Amazon for a day, you have to accept the rules of the platform. Therefore, some sellers have also reported that they should raise the prices of their products. The delivery fee has increased, and the price needs to increase by 2-3 US dollars to make up for it, especially for the products that are sold, and the delivery fee increases the most according to the volume.

In addition to the logistics costs that have attracted the attention of sellers, there have been many discussions about raising the maximum weight of light and small items to 3 pounds . Some sellers said that raising it to 3 pounds is good, but whether its selling price is still limited to US$7, if so, its profit margin is not much, and they really hope that this limit can be lifted.

It seems that there are quite a lot of troubles during this peak season.
