Etsy takes steps to combat shipment delays

Etsy recently said that it will continue to learn from last year's holiday experience to deal with possible cargo delays. However, some people have raised questions about whether the company's "Star Seller Program" can successfully help sellers reduce negative feedback as before, as it has faced many questions this year.

 

According to foreign media reports, Etsy will share news about potential carrier delays on its website and update the latest estimated delivery date . It is reported that Etsy will use a new algorithm to detect carrier delays , and Etsy will also get the latest logistics news from the carrier.

 

Etsy reminds sellers that in order to better help sellers , sellers must select the shipping carrier in their shipping information. For example, if the seller uses USPS in the United States , they need to select USPS in the drop-down list . If the seller does not know or does not provide the carrier, it will be difficult for Etsy to adjust the estimated delivery time and tracking information.

 

Reports show that in order to reduce negative reviews, many sellers will adjust the processing time of goods to deal with delivery delays. However, Etsy said that if the delay is caused by the carrier, sellers do not need to do so. From the whole process, if there is a delay, Etsy will send an email to the buyer to inform them that the goods will be delayed due to carrier problems, shipping delays, etc.

 

In addition, Etsy said it is considering deleting negative reviews related to shipping delays, but the prerequisite is that sellers must actively provide relevant and true information to the platform.

 

Recently, many foreign sellers have questioned Etsy's recent plans. In fact, it is not just Etsy, all major e-commerce platforms are facing mixed reviews. However, there are common interests between the platform and the sellers. If one party has problems, the other party will also be affected. The two should still go hand in hand.

 

Last week, Etsy also released its third-quarter results for this year, with total revenue exceeding 530 million and the number of new active buyers reaching 7 million.
