Worth millions of dollars! CBP seizes another batch of counterfeit watches from Hong Kong, China

According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection ( CBP) seized a batch of counterfeit watches from Hong Kong, China from October 4 to 5 , including 59 Rolex and 3 Audemars Piguet counterfeit watches, with a market value of up to 2.68 million U.S. dollars . Just last month , from September 10 to 30, CBP seized a total of 3,345 counterfeit brand watches with a total value of 6,707 U.S. dollars.

CBP officials said that CBP officers and identification experts will strictly monitor imported goods and seize counterfeit products to protect American businesses and consumers.

It also shows that counterfeit goods flowing into the United States will be sold in underground stores or on third-party e-commerce websites, providing funds for smugglers and members of organized crime, and misleading consumers into thinking that what they are buying are authentic products. This series of actions will have a huge impact on American consumers, the American economy and American politics.

Therefore, the CBP Trade Department will vigorously protect the intellectual property rights of American companies through the Intellectual Property Enforcement Program to prevent them from malicious use and unfair competition. The supervision of electronic products, luxury goods, pharmaceuticals and medical devices is also very strict.

In the past two years, CBP has seized a number of counterfeit watches , jewelry , leather goods and other counterfeit products. Among them, counterfeit brand-name watches and luxury jewelry have always been one of the counterfeit products most seized by CBP , accounting for almost half of the total MSRP of the seized goods , with a value of approximately US$650 million.

Just in May this year , CBP even intercepted a batch of Chinese counterfeit banknotes, with a value of up to $685,000! Counterfeit banknotes and counterfeit products harm both people and themselves, not only infringing on consumer rights, but also disrupting market order. Sellers are advised to take this as a warning and operate in good faith . Once counterfeit goods are sold, they will be subject to customs inspection and seizure.

Now that Black Friday and Christmas are getting closer, there are still a large number of containers that are not fully utilized and port congestion still exists. Don't let some counterfeit products waste freight resources in vain!
