There is a risk of fire! Nearly 20,000 propane adapter hoses are recalled

Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that Gas One is recalling propane adapter hoses model numbers 50140-08, 50140-012, 50140-05GA, and 50140 .

The recall is due to the hose expanding during use, causing gas to leak, posing a fire hazard. Gas One has received five reports of the adapter hose expanding , but no injuries have been found .

According to the CPSC announcement, the hoses were made in China and about 19,500 of them have been sold on Amazon, eBay, Gas One, Home Depot and Walmart for prices ranging from $9 to $18.

The CPSC said consumers should immediately stop using the adapter hose and contact Gas One for a free replacement hose .
