Recently, Amazon Japan announced the launch of the "Buy Shipping" service. So far, the "Buy Shipping" service covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, India, Mexico, the Netherlands and Japan.
The "Buy Shipping" service refers to the logistics and delivery service that self-delivery sellers purchase from logistics carriers that have cooperated with Amazon on the seller platform. This service will automatically screen out delivery options that can be delivered on time and meet Amazon's shipping requirements based on the seller's delivery requirements.
Official introduction: The "Buy Shipping" service can automatically upload tracking information , so all packages using this service will be effectively tracked. In addition, when buyers report delivery problems, sellers using this service will be exempt from Amazon Marketplace Transaction Protection claims .
In the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Mexico, the Buy Shipping service can also remove some negative reviews. If a seller ships on time through Buy Shipping and provides tracking information, but a buyer comments that the package was late or not delivered, the seller can request a review of the review. If approved, the review will not affect the seller's order defect rate, and the review will appear with a strikethrough and the following statement: The shipping issues associated with this order were not caused by the seller.
In European sites such as Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, when sellers use the "Buy Shipping" service, Amazon will also transmit the information required by IOSS directly to the carrier without any additional operation.
In general, the "Buy Shipping" service simplifies the seller's logistics operation process and assumes some responsibilities caused by logistics delays. However, there are not many logistics carriers that have reached this cooperation with Amazon. Sellers can choose according to their own needs, as long as the logistics carrier is connected with Amazon for delivery tracking.
Since August 9, 2021, multiple Amazon sites have implemented valid tracking rate (VTR) performance requirements, and the VTR of self-delivery sellers must be higher than 95%.
Previously, Amazon provided five ways to increase VTR. In addition to using the "Buy Delivery" service, Amazon also emphasized that after handing the package to the carrier, the logistics tracking information must be confirmed and updated within 24 hours. In addition, sellers are advised to check whether the carrier name, transportation service and tracking ID are entered correctly and belong to the same carrier, and the tracking ID needs to be scanned by the operator at least once to be effective. In addition to these, Amazon said that Amazon integrated carriers can be selected from the drop-down menu on the "Order Details" page. These integrated carriers will provide Amazon with real-time order tracking status. Amazon Buy delivery service |
