eBay’s off-site advertising feature is now available in the UK and Australia

With the development of e-commerce, the traditional marketing model can no longer adapt to the current fierce competition, and multi-channel layout is the best strategy. eBay launched off-site promotion on the UK and Australian sites, and sellers' product listings can be displayed on cooperative websites (such as Google and Bing), which can not only expand the promotion scope of sellers, but also increase brand awareness to a certain extent.

Participation in off-site promotion is voluntary. Listings of sellers who do not participate are also eligible to appear in eBay's off-site promotion products. Similarly, eBay sellers can also voluntarily choose to opt out.

Off-site promotion does not charge sellers any additional fees. Sellers only need to pay advertising fees when buyers click on the product link and purchase the product within 30 days. The advertising fees are the same as eBay on-site promotions.

eBay has also updated its downloadable campaign reports to show the impact of external promoted listings, including:

Recommended listing clicks (via external placements)

Promoted listing conversion rate (via external placements)

Promoted Listing Sales (via external placements)

Advertising fees (through external placements)

Moreover, sellers do not need to participate in off-site promotional activities to appear in advertisements on search platforms or partner websites, which also avoids operational troubles for sellers.

Through this feature, eBay sellers can expand new sales channels, and the revenue generated will also contribute to the eBay platform, while also attracting new traffic to the platform.

At the same time, "personalization" is becoming more and more popular. According to eBay statistics last year, there are many searches for personalized products every day, among which personalized cups and glasses are the most popular, with search volumes increasing by 111% and 113% respectively.

eBay recently launched this personalization feature, which allows consumers to add their name or initials to the product and print the image on the product picture to get their own personalized design.

According to the second quarter financial report, eBay's performance exceeded expectations, and all key indicators have increased. The subsequent development is also worth looking forward to.
