Amazon European Small and Light Package Fee Update
Recently, Amazon released a new announcement to update the fees for small and light packages.
The announcement is as follows: As part of the 2021 Amazon Logistics fulfillment fee changes , starting June 8, Amazon will align the sizes of small and light packages with Amazon Europe's standard FBA envelope sizes. The changes will include the introduction of larger envelope sizes.
On June 8, Amazon will adjust the "Small and Light" fees in the UK and EU . The specific details are as follows:
Please note: Sellers with FBA inventory in Germany who have not participated in the expanded fulfillment network of Amazon (Central Europe Program) ( including Poland and the Czech Republic) will be charged an additional fulfillment fee of 0.25 euros per product shipped from the German fulfillment center .
Sellers are advised to register eligible products in " Small and Light Commodities" and start preparing to send goods to Amazon fulfillment centers before June 8. Newly added products can also benefit from the Amazon FBA new selection program .
Amazon is constantly improving its policies. One seller interpreted the announcement as “not that I can send anything to FBA. Based on the current inventory limits and sales rates, I won’t be able to create shipments until mid-September.”
Amazon's FBA Small and Light program is a logistics program launched by Amazon specifically for sellers of small items. Small and light items are very attractive to overseas buyers because they like low-priced items very much, and most low-priced items are small or light products.
Now, due to factors such as rising packaging material prices, rising logistics costs, and higher FBA fees, the profit margins of low-priced products have been compressed or even negative, causing sellers to lose money on every product they sell. At this time, you may want to consider using Amazon's Small and Light Program to reduce logistics and warehousing costs.
Previously, Amazon's logistics fees for small and light products were also adjusted. Sellers expect more favorable policies and also hope that Amazon's services will be improved. I wonder if the fee update for small and light packages in Europe can cater to sellers?
