Automobiles and parts are expected to grow 30.1% year-on-year . The epidemic has driven consumer demand for used cars, and related e-commerce sellers have achieved sales growth during this period. This trend is expected to remain strong in 2022. In addition to parts, it will also drive demand for automotive accessories.

Food and beverages are expected to grow by 20.7% . The report shows that the epidemic has driven people's online purchases of daily consumer goods, and e-commerce groceries have developed rapidly. This category has achieved rapid growth from a low base before 2020 , and this behavioral change will continue in 2022 .

Clothing and accessories will grow by 15.4% year-on -year . The coronavirus has postponed weddings and other formal events, and working from home has reduced consumers' desire to buy clothing. As the epidemic becomes normalized and countries relax control, clothing and accessories are expected to be among the high-growth categories in 2022.

According to the chart, online sales of jewelry are expected to increase significantly in 2023 , which can also be used as a reference for sellers to select products. In addition, hygiene and toiletries are also an important part of consumers' online purchases. With the normal opening of offline activities, health, personal care and beauty will also increase by 15.1% year-on-year.

According to Adobe data, from March 2020 to February 2022 during the epidemic, American consumers spent about $1.7 trillion on online shopping, an increase of $609 billion from the total of 2018 and 2019. Electronic products, clothing and groceries accounted for 40% of the total.

The epidemic has promoted the development of people's online purchasing habits. Sellers should pay more attention to local market demand, select products and layout in a targeted manner, and improve their competitiveness in the market.
