Deadline: May 2! eBay Korea is now open to recruit Big Smile Day sellers

It is reported that starting from April 19, eBay Korea will publicly recruit sellers to participate in the " Big Smile Day " promotion. The recruitment period ends on May 2. Any seller who has registered for G-Market, Auction and G9 before March 31 can apply.

As long as sellers apply for the event before the deadline, they can participate in eBay Korea's " Big Smile Day " promotion from May 10 to May 18 this year, which will last for nine days. In order to attract more sellers to participate in the event, eBay Korea has greatly relaxed the participation conditions this year. Regardless of the sales scale, as long as the store has high-quality products and the products are competitively priced, small and medium-sized sellers can also participate.

This is the seventh " Big Smile Day " held by eBay Korea . This event started in 2017. As one of the biggest discount events of eBay Korea, it is held simultaneously in G-Market and Auction in May and November every year.

As of November last year, the first six " Big Smile Day " events have achieved a cumulative sales volume of 180 million thanks to their discounts and product reputation. As of November 2020, the average daily sales reached 3.4 million, with about 140,000 products sold per hour. Even the sales of sellers participating in the event have increased. The average sales growth rate of sellers participating in the event in November last year increased by more than 3 times (200%) compared with the same period last year.

It is reported that eBay Korea, the parent company of Gmarket and Auction, previously stated that during the " Big Smile Day " event held in 2020, the cumulative sales volume reached 28.81 million pieces in the nine days from May 20 to 28, with an average daily sales volume of 3.2 million pieces and sales volume of 37 pieces per second.

Not only that, sellers on the platform have achieved milestone results. On the first day of the event, the platform sold 4.5 million products, setting a record for the highest transaction volume in 24 hours since the opening of eBay Korea. It also broke eBay's highest sales record in May 2019. Some products set new records for the shortest time a single product was sold, and also created the highest sales record.

It was reported that Company A, which sold fresh food, saw its sales increase by nearly 10 times (984%) compared to the previous month by participating in the last event , while Company C, which sold kitchenware, saw its sales increase by 6 times, and Company C, which sold children's clothing, saw its sales increase by more than 4 times (319%).
