New rules for self-delivery! Sellers who fail to meet the standards may have their sales rights restricted

Searching for VTR (Valid Tracking Rate) on the seller forum of the US site , keywords such as "VTR plummeted to 0", "listing suspended", and "unable to appeal" make you feel the power of VTR.

Now, it’s not just the US-based sellers who have to compete with VTR, but also the European sellers who have to compete with VTR…

About two weeks ago, sellers from France, Germany, and the UK started posting and discussing on the forum about Amazon's email notifications. Among them, a seller from France shared the following email

It can be seen from the email that Amazon has issued new "Shipping Confirmation and Valid Tracking Rate" requirements, which will take effect on April 19, 2021 .

Sellers are required to provide the carrier name and specific delivery service for all self-fulfilled orders during ship confirmation, as well as the tracking ID for self-fulfilled orders shipped using a tracked shipping method; not only that, sellers are also required to have a VTR of 95% .

VTR applies only to seller-fulfilled orders and is the percentage of all shipments with a valid tracking number over a given 30-day period .

Amazon currently states that “Amazon will not pursue any action even if the valid tracking rate target is not met.”

However, starting from April 19, if the VTR in a product category is less than 95%, Amazon may restrict sellers’ ability to sell non-Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) products in this category .

That is, if a seller sells items in both Home & Garden and Toys & Games, and the VTR in Toys & Games is 80% and the VTR in Home & Garden is 100%, then the seller's product listings in Toys & Games will be suspended. If any listing is suspended, the seller can submit an action plan and apply for reinstatement .

According to a lot of feedback from sellers, many sellers’ VTR has not reached 95%↓

My VTR rarely reaches 95% or higher, and I've always wondered about this...

My VTR is only 44% and that's even though every package is sent with tracking.

I send all my items using 2D tracking and then upload all the numbers and my VTR is 74%.

I received an email today regarding UK VTR. I looked at my current VTR which is only 54% and I am starting to panic...

However, one seller explained that there is no need to pay attention to the current VTR. Starting from April 1, Amazon will start using the new VTR page and its new calculation method. Sellers can   https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/performance/detail/shipping?ref=sp_st_nav_spshp&&Monitor the situation of VTR.

Some sellers also reported that their VTRs have been fluctuating in the past two days. Amazon seems to have started to take action...
