Online sales up 54.7%, U.S. spending on furniture, jewelry up in February

The report shows that while clothing sales overall fell 5.3%, clothing e-commerce sales increased 47.3% year-on-year . Compared with the same period last year, 73.9 % of clothing purchases were made online in February this year, and a year ago, in February 2020, the online purchase rate was 47.5%.

3. Spending on furniture and furnishings grew steadily: Affected by seasonal weather, home renovation and decoration projects continued to be hot . In February , spending on furniture and furnishings in the United States grew steadily by 8.6%.

 

4. Stimulus sales growth continues: Although the impact has weakened, the stimulus spending policies injected in early January helped boost consumer confidence in January and February.

 

In summary, US consumer spending remains strong, with online shopping becoming their main consumption channel.
