1. Teastudio278's clients often ask how they got into the tea industry. Describing a journey into the world of tea that started with regular tea bags, quickly moved to high-end "gourmet" tea bags. Then discovered whole leaf tea. Soon abandoned mass produced commercial tea. A trip to China's tea producing regions, discovering organic artisan handmade teas in the small tea gardens visited.
2. It was during one such trip that the decision was made to bring this wonderful tea to our community in Bar Harbor, Maine. Tea House 278 quietly opened its doors in late August 2012. Today, the same teas found in the tea house are also sold online.
