Menards is a chain of home improvement centers located primarily in the western United States. It is a privately held company headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

 

About Menards

  • Menards is the third largest home improvement chain in the U.S., after The Home Depot and Lowe's. It has about 300 stores in 14 states, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming and Kentucky.
  • Menards was founded in 1960 and registered in 1962. In 2007, Menards built its third and fourth distribution centers, which are 669,000 square feet (62,200 square meters) and 735,000 square feet (68,300 square meters) respectively;
  • Menards' president is John Menard, its chief operating officer is Scott Collette, its general manager of distribution/manufacturing/logistics is Charlie Menard, and its operations manager is Gaylen Heckman. Its revenue in December 2015 was $8.7 billion, and it has 45,000 employees.
