What is Hague Apostille? Hague Apostille Review, Features

Apostille is a secondary certification issued by a national government agency (usually the Supreme People's Court) for the issuer of the original certification (usually a local notary office or an international notary public). A stamp or label is added to the certification. This process is called apostille. Apostille is not a certification of the content of the required certification document, but a secondary certification of the issuer of the original certification (notary office or international notary public), to certify whether the notary office or international notary public is qualified to issue the original certification document. Before apostille, the certification document must be notarized internationally, and then apostille is made at the Supreme People's Court. The whole process can be called apostille or apostille.

About "Apostiile"

"Apostille" comes from French, which means "authentication", but it is different from the "authentication of embassies and consulates" referred to in China. "Apostille" specifically refers to the process and result of a specific official agency confirming the authenticity of the signature and seal of its competent department on the official document, which is mutually recognized by the signatories of the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Authentication for Foreign Public Documents. It is a specific "authentication".

Hague Apostille
