12.5 days to Los Angeles! Cainiao joins hands with ZIM Shipping and Shenzhen Yantian Port to open an e-commerce express line to the western United States

On the morning of May 15 ( Wednesday), a batch of containers carried by Cainiao were successfully shipped at Shenzhen Yantian International Container Terminal, marking the official opening of Cainiao's first US West Coast e-commerce express line in South China. According to the staff of Cainiao's shipping team, this express line is specially customized for Alibaba's e-commerce platform . It departs from Shenzhen Yantian Port every Wednesday and arrives at Los Angeles Long Beach Port in an average of 12.5 days. After the goods arrive at the port , Cainiao will also provide local customs clearance, port-to-warehouse transportation, overseas warehouses and last-mile delivery services .

It is worth noting that the Panama Canal leading to the eastern United States is experiencing a severe drought, which has greatly reduced the passability and timeliness of ships. Therefore, many cross-border e-commerce sellers are currently choosing the more stable West Coast route to deliver goods to the eastern United States through sea-rail transport.

Shenzhen is the capital of cross-border e-commerce in China. Public data shows that the number of cross-border e-commerce export enterprises in Shenzhen exceeds 150,000 . For cross-border e-commerce sellers, cross-border logistics services that are both time-efficient and extremely cost-effective are always in high demand. The head of the Cainiao Shipping Team told reporters, "This time, Cainiao and ZIM's newly opened US West Coast e-commerce express line has the core advantages of ' stable, accurate and fast ' . In the future, cross-border e-commerce sellers in South China can not only ship goods at the nearby Yantian Port, but also enjoy the peace of mind services provided by Cainiao, such as guaranteed space and container, late order cut-off for sailing, and container pick-up the next day after arrival, which can accelerate going out to sea with one click. "

It is understood that Cainiao is one of the world's largest cross-border e-commerce logistics companies . At present, Cainiao's shipping covers Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, Oceania, the Americas and other regions, and has formed a global intercontinental route network starting from domestic port cities .

Just last year, the Cainiao Shipping team launched the “China-South Korea Daily Delivery” e-commerce express line and the “Singapore-Malaysia Daily Delivery” e-commerce express line , efficiently helping cross-border sellers to expand overseas.
