Shanghai Airport also issued a statement saying that Pudong Airport adheres to the principle of strict separation of support for passenger and cargo planes, and strict separation of support for overseas flights and domestic flights, and implements strict "joint prevention of people, goods, and the environment" closed-loop management of epidemic prevention and control. Currently, passenger flights at Pudong Airport are operating normally .

The airport notice indicated that all outbound international cargo and passenger-to-cargo flights will be suspended from the afternoon of August 20, and the resumption time is yet to be determined. The inbound cargo flights will be delayed in unloading after landing .

There is also news that the Pudong Airport Cargo Terminal ( PACTL) has been temporarily closed and all cargo has been temporarily stopped. The specific opening time will be notified separately . PACTL was jointly funded by China and Germany and has a total cargo handling capacity of 2.5 million tons per year . According to incomplete statistics, PACTL's customers include more than 40 Chinese and foreign airlines.
