Shocking foreigners for a whole year! Temu Week's various 0.99 "sale" is crazy

Some Americans may have discovered recently that although these days are Amazon’s Prime Day, things on Temu are actually even cheaper!

After opening Temu, many people may be shocked by the eye-popping low prices. The banner on the homepage even states that Temu Week promotions are as low as $0.99, which directly ignites consumers' shopping desires.

However, Amazon does not seem to want to compete with Temu in terms of low prices. Some time ago, foreign media reported that Amazon had excluded Temu from its price comparison algorithm and said that Temu did not meet its fair pricing standards.

Temu's popularity has surged since it was first launched in the U.S. last September, with gross merchandise value reaching nearly $200 million in January, according to Insider Intelligence .

Intelligence firm GWS also found that Temu has added nearly 10 million daily active users this year and currently has about 16.5 million users. The company also found that Amazon's daily active users have declined, from 54 million at the beginning of the year to 46 million now. However, Amazon said this data is not accurate.

In fact, Amazon is not unwilling to compete with other competitors in terms of price. Its price matching algorithm has long monitored major competitors such as Walmart to adjust the prices of products sold on its platform.

In his book Winner Sell All, Jason Dre describes Amazon ’s “competitive monitoring tools” that track prices elsewhere on the internet and then decide when to adjust its own prices.

Amazon's exclusion of Temu from its price matching algorithm may mean that the prices of goods on Temu are indeed lower than those offered by sellers on the Amazon platform.

An Amazon spokesperson said : “ Product prices fluctuate all the time, and our prices change based on changes at other retailers . We know customers are looking to save now more than ever , and we work hard every day to get them the best prices . ”

As a new entrant, there has been constant controversy about Temu, but it is undeniable that it has indeed used the low-price strategy to the extreme.
