At the 2023 Global Smart Logistics Summit held on June 28, Cainiao Group CEO Wan Lin announced that Cainiao will join hands with AliExpress to officially launch the "Global Five-Day Delivery" international express product this year, starting from key national markets, and gradually enabling cross-border parcels to be delivered within 5 working days.

It is understood that through the refined operation of domestic collection, trunk transportation, overseas distribution and terminal delivery, Cainiao International Express's express line product is expected to speed up the entire process of cross-border parcels from payment to receipt by 30% compared to the industry average , so as to meet the needs of cross-border merchants for ultimate logistics timeliness and cost-effectiveness.

In addition to speeding up international express delivery, Wan Lin said that this year Cainiao will also focus on investing in logistics capabilities in key overseas regions, multi-level products in the domestic supply chain, and domestic express delivery upgrades.

In terms of logistics construction in key overseas regions, Cainiao will deeply operate key logistics elements in key overseas markets such as Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia, and build overseas local logistics networks at the pace of 1-2 countries per year .

On the same day, Wanlin also announced that Cainiao launched its own high-quality express delivery "Cainiao Express", focusing on quality services such as half-day delivery, next-day delivery, door-to-door delivery and night collection to match the market's demand for high-quality express delivery and differentiated services. In addition, Cainiao will focus on creating three major supply chain tiered products this year, including "half-day delivery" for selected warehouses and distribution, "next-day delivery" for smart warehouses and distribution, and economic warehouses and distribution.

Wan Lin believes that smart logistics will usher in new development opportunities in the next decade. Cainiao will devote all its efforts to building a world-leading smart logistics network, creating three long-chain logistics networks including domestic logistics, cross-border logistics and overseas local logistics, and forming three short-chain businesses including terminal stations, logistics real estate and logistics technology, providing high-quality and competitive logistics services to consumers, merchants, platforms and logistics companies.
