"Factory manufacturing will become green. This is not an option in the future, but a must." Qin Fen, head of the Industry & Merchant Business Department of Alibaba International Station, revealed in the official live broadcast room of Alibaba International Station that Alibaba International Station plans to support at least 1,000 small and medium-sized foreign trade factories to pass the "Sustainable Development (Green and Low-carbon) Factory Evaluation" this year. He introduced that large overseas buyers, such as Walmart, Home Depot, Apple, Unilever, etc., have successively announced their ESG strategies, and also required downstream suppliers to comply with sustainable development and social responsibility. For exported goods, they are gradually required to provide carbon footprint reports. In addition, the European Commission proposed to launch carbon tariffs in 2023. In the process of global low-carbon economic transformation, new green trade barriers are gradually forming.
