Pay attention to the safety of children's products, another Amazon product has been recalled!

Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC) announced the recall of Stokke Clikk children's dining chairs sold on the Amazon platform . The reason for the recall is that the dining chair may break during use , posing a risk of falling or injury to children .

It is reported that the white Stokke   Clikk high chairs manufactured between December 16 and 18, 2020, with part number 552104 and serial number range 135AA057070–135AA0057908. The part number and serial number are printed under the seat of the high chair . No other colors, models or serial numbers are affected.

Currently, this product is only sold in Canada and the United States. As of March 18, 2022, the CPSC has not received any reports of accidents or injuries in Canada. However , in the United States, the CPSC has received 6 reports of breaks and 2 reports of minor abrasions related to this product .

On the same day, biOrigins sodium hydroxide products sold on the Amazon platform were recalled because they did not meet child-resistant packaging requirements and violated FHSA labeling requirements .

This product is imported by Madar Corporation and sold exclusively on the Amazon platform .

The reason for the recall is that the product packaging does not meet the requirements . If children accidentally touch it, it may cause chemical burns , irritation to the skin and eyes. In addition, the label on the product violates the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) by omitting mandatory information on the packaging .

It is understood that the product was sold on the Amazon platform from July 2020 to July 2021 , with a price range of US$27 to US$40, and about 30 units were sold. At present, the CPSC has not received any reports of accidents involving the use of this product.

In the United States, non-compliant consumer products cause more than $1 trillion in deaths, injuries, and property losses each year. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is primarily responsible for consumer product safety and protects the public from the risk of injury or death caused by non-compliant consumer products .

No matter how popular a product is, it will be doomed if it encounters product safety issues. Therefore, safety issues must be paid attention to when exporting products, especially children-related products .

Therefore, cross-border e-commerce sellers must pay attention to the different compliance requirements and applicable standards for children's related products in different countries. While ensuring the smooth export of their products, they can also allow overseas consumers to purchase and use them with confidence.
