Zalando to build two operational centers in Poland

European online fashion platform Zalando will open two more operating centers in Poland, expanding its total facilities area by 240,000 square meters .

A logistics centre in Białe Błota is already under construction, while construction of a second logistics centre in Bydgoszcz will begin in early 2022.

The Białe Błota operation center will cover an area of ​​more than 100,000 square meters and provide additional warehouse space, and is expected to create about 800 jobs . The opening time is scheduled for March 2022. The operation center in Bydgoszcz will have a total area of ​​140,000 square meters , including office facilities, and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2023 , and is expected to create up to 3,500 jobs.

The investment aims to expand Zalando's logistics network in Europe .

In addition, Bydgoszcz and the surrounding area were chosen for the new fulfillment center due to their proximity to Poland and other nearby markets. The region also has a high labor potential and is close to other Zalando sites in Poland, which is expected to allow for smooth coordination of the project. As the new site is being built, Zalando is planning additional investments in consultation with local authorities , including infrastructure improvements and the construction of new roads near the Zalando site.
