Recently, it was reported by China News Network (CNS) that in order to facilitate the return of cross-border e-commerce retail imported goods, the Guangzhou General Administration of Customs issued Announcement No. 70, comprehensively promoting the "cross-border e-commerce retail import return central warehouse model" based on the previous pilot.
China News Service stated that the return center warehouse model, that is, under the cross-border e-commerce retail import model, the domestic agent of the cross-border e-commerce enterprise or the warehousing enterprise entrusted by it in the special customs supervision area can set up a special storage location for the return of cross-border e-commerce retail imported goods in the special customs supervision area, and implement the processes of accepting and sorting returned goods within the area.
China News Service emphasized that the return center warehouse model further streamlined the business process of cross-border e-commerce online shopping bonded retail imports, opened up the "last mile" for domestic consumers to return goods , and will promote the further healthy development of cross-border e-commerce retail import business.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, online shopping has become people's main consumption choice. While China's cross-border e-commerce retail import business is developing rapidly, consumers' requirements for product quality are also constantly increasing, and returning or exchanging unsatisfactory products has become the norm. How to handle the return and exchange of cross-border e-commerce retail products has become a difficult problem for every e-commerce company.
Zeng Pan, Customs Manager of Cainiao International, said: "In order to complete the return of cross-border goods, companies need to set up a dedicated receiving warehouse outside the customs special supervision area for storage. The returned goods must be sorted and sorted before they can be transported to the warehouse in the area and put back on the shelves for secondary sales or other processing. This not only increases the operating costs of the company, but also prolongs the return cycle."
Liu Qi, deputy chief of the cross-border e-commerce supervision section of Nansha Customs under Guangzhou Customs, said: "The new model makes the return process more standardized and convenient, which will attract more e-commerce companies to settle in and set up central warehouses. Recently, two companies have expressed their intention to enter the zone to carry out related business." Guangzhou E-commerce return the goods |
