Huabei in Germany? Amazon Germany starts implementing installment payment!

Since October, which should have been the peak sales season, many sellers have reported that this year's peak season is a bit fake. I wonder if Amazon's move can arouse consumers' desire to buy?

It is reported that in order to attract more customers, Amazon India has previously cooperated with major Indian banks on its promotional sales days to allow installment payments to promote its buyers' consumption and payments. Sellers may also receive up to 15% extra cash from it.

In addition to the Indian site, on August 27 this year, Amazon's US site also announced that it will cooperate with Affirm, the "American version of Huabei", so that shoppers can purchase goods over US$50 in installments through payment provider Affirm.

Recently, Amazon Germany also launched an installment payment service. Berlin State Bank is Amazon 's partner on Amazon.de Visa, allowing users to pay for personal consumption of more than 100 euros in installments .

Qualifying purchases are marked with a special symbol in the user's credit card bank's sales view. The customer can then choose to pay in installments over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. The annual percentage rate (APR) may vary and is displayed to the user before the installment purchase is completed .

The calculation of interest is based on the German interest calculation method ( 30/360). Other settings for full or partial payment remain unaffected by the installment purchase for personal consumption.

Users can also get the latest installment purchase overview on the credit card bank and credit card monthly statements. In addition, they can choose to make early repayments at any time.

However, customers will not receive any Amazon points for items converted to installment purchases. Installment payments can only be used for sales that have not yet been billed . If the purchase has already been completed, installment payments are not supported . In addition, the maximum amount that customers need to pay in installments cannot exceed the maximum limit of the credit card.

I hope that this move by Amazon can attract more buyers to consume and make this peak season even more prosperous.
