SEO strategy has changed! Google changes the search engine algorithm recommendation system

As more and more cross-border e-commerce sellers turn their attention to independent websites, SEO (search engine optimization) is also becoming more and more popular. Doing a good job in independent website SEO is crucial to attracting traffic to independent websites.

Recently, Google has made changes to the algorithm for which content titles are displayed in the SERP ( Search Engine Results Page ) . As the world's leading search engine, Google's move has caused quite a stir in the SEO community forum .

Google once said that SEO does not always use the initial title of the page as an evaluation criterion .

Initial titles are sometimes long or ‘stuffed’ with keywords because people mistakenly believe that adding keywords to page titles will improve recommendation rankings, which is not the case . Home pages may be simply judged as home pages’ without a title . The new changes are intended to generate more readable and accessible titles for pages on Google’s part .”

In this regard, some practitioners pointed out that in a variety of highly regulated industries , including business , content authors usually have to go through legal and multiple approval processes before their content goes online . This process may include days, weeks, or even months of refinement and modification of titles and individual words in titles . If Google's algorithm modifies the original title as it pleases, who should bear the legal liability that may arise from this? At present, Google has not made a positive response.

Perhaps , for SEO practitioners, it is better to pay more attention to consumer demands rather than focusing on Google 's algorithm recommendation mechanism (many people are deeply trapped in it ) . Google has also stated that it is moving towards this kind of automation that " pays more attention to audience demands " to improve the searcher experience.

As one of the world's largest search engines, Google should , in theory , have accumulated a large amount of data from hundreds of millions of searches and continuously use this data to optimize their models and understand what searchers need when they enter content into the search engine.

In fact, Google has also made many attempts in the process of optimizing the algorithm recommendation mechanism. This is related to their corporate culture: move fast , break things . They promote new technologies and then decide whether to use them based on market feedback .

For cross-border e-commerce independent website sellers, using search engine rules to improve the natural ranking of the website in relevant search engines , striving to make it a leading position in the industry, and gaining brand benefits are largely necessary behaviors for independent website operations . Therefore, cross-border e-commerce sellers should also continue to pay attention to policy changes of search engines such as Google, constantly adjust SEO strategies, and better guide traffic to independent websites .
