Amazon launches brand recommendation bonus program, up to 30% bonus

Amazon has been in a turbulent time recently. Massive account suspensions and yellow card warnings have made many sellers panic, and logistics shipping costs and advertising fees have also made many sellers miserable. A new plan recently launched by Amazon can be regarded as one of the few good news...

Just last week, Amazon US announced the launch of a brand recommendation bonus program. The program is mainly used to reward brand owners who bring sales to Amazon through off-site marketing activities. Sellers can receive up to 30% of their sales as a bonus.

In short, all brand owners on Amazon US can participate in this program, and the products promoted must be products currently being sold on the Amazon website. After brand sellers successfully participate in the program, they can set an "Amazon attribution" tag for off-site promotion activities so that Amazon can track off-site promotions and transactions. As long as consumers click on the Amazon off-site promotion link with the brand's tag and place an order within 14 days, brand sellers can receive a certain percentage of the referral bonus.

The brand recommendation bonus ratios for different categories are different, averaging 10% and up to 30%!

Amazon gave three reasons for participating in the brand recommendation bonus program: it can help buyers improve the efficiency of Amazon's off-site advertising promotions; they can get an average of 10% bonus on the traffic brought to Amazon from outside the site to save promotion costs; and consumers can get the same reward if they place an order within 14 days of clicking the ad link.

The brand recommendation bonus program launched by Amazon may be a win-win move. Through this program, Amazon brand sellers can improve the efficiency of Amazon's off-site marketing efforts and reduce some advertising costs to better promote brand growth; while Amazon can obtain more traffic and increase sales through sellers' off-site promotions, and even further strengthen Amazon's dominance in the e-commerce field.

Currently, the plan is only open to brand users on the US site, and may be launched on other sites in the future.
