Lazada cooperates with police to seize more than 82,000 fake batteries

On May 18 this year , based on the clues from the police, the Thai police raided a private residence in Bangkok and found that the scene was a den for selling counterfeit goods online. On July 7 this year, the Thai police successfully investigated and dealt with Panasonic counterfeit batteries in Bangkok and recovered more than 82,000 fake batteries with Panasonic trademarks, with a total value of about RMB 560,000.

 

According to the police, Panasonic recently received a large number of reports and complaints from consumers, claiming that the Panasonic batteries they purchased online had serious quality problems, so Panasonic chose to call the police.

 

Then, the police pretended to be ordinary customers and placed an order with the online store involved in the case. When they received the goods, they traced the express information and finally found the warehouse where the goods were shipped. They caught the criminals red-handed at the scene.

 

As batteries are often classified as consumables, they are often overlooked as a product that can be counterfeited, but what is easily overlooked is that counterfeit batteries are highly dangerous and can cause serious damage to a variety of household appliances.

 

Mr. Julawut Kanaruk , Deputy Director of Panasonic Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said: "Panasonic has a zero-tolerance policy towards counterfeit products as they betray the trust of customers and thus damage the Panasonic brand. Our goal is to eliminate counterfeit sellers who target unsuspecting consumers.
