Transaction volume exceeds 90 billion won, Korean fashion platform ZigZag achieves new performance heights

As online shopping continues to expand, online sales in the Korean clothing market are also becoming stronger. Last year, the Korean fashion industry as a whole showed negative growth, while online fashion platforms showed a stormy growth.

 

According to Korean media reports, South Korean fashion e-commerce platform " ZigZag " set a record for the highest number of monthly active users (MAU) for fashion platforms in June, and achieved the highest monthly transaction volume since its launch.

 


According to data from Mobile Index HD, a data analysis solution , ZigZag's MAU in June was 3.6 million, ranking first among fashion platforms. At the same time , ZigZag also ranked first among major fashion platforms in South Korea with an average usage time of about 52 minutes per person . This also shows that in addition to the simple influx of users, there are also many consumers who actually use this e-commerce application.

 

As one of the must-have shopping apps for Korean women , ZigZag's transaction volume reached 750 billion won in 2020 , and this year it is expected to achieve an annual transaction volume of 1 trillion won for the first time in the vertical e-commerce field of women's fashion platform .

 

Since ZigZag was acquired and integrated and launched in June , its monthly transaction volume has exceeded 90 billion won for the first time . In addition, the payment amount through its independently developed comprehensive payment service "Z Payment" in the first half of the year also soared by 110% compared with last year .

 


All these achievements are inseparable from ZigZag 's efforts in recent times . ZigZag expanded its product group to fashion brands through the brand hall opened in March this year . In addition, new businesses such as the "direct delivery" business that delivers orders the next day after placing an order today have quickly gained a foothold, playing an important role in the increase in transaction amount and MAU.

 

In addition, ZigZag also launched a variety of discount promotions and activities in June, and the new features and discounts provided to sellers in the store worked together to drive an overall increase in transaction volume.

 

A person in charge of Kakao Style, which recently acquired ZigZag , also said: "The transaction volume in the first half of the year increased significantly due to the launch of new services that allow customers to easily find a variety of affordable products, close cooperation with sellers, and the development of new functions to continuously increase sales. We will go all out in the second half of this year to provide services that will satisfy both ZigZag customers and sellers."
