Starting April 26, 2021, Amazon will open a feature that automatically provides "No Return Refunds" (refunds without product returns) based on rules defined by sellers. By providing "No Return Refunds", it can improve the balance by reducing the hassle of customers returning unnecessary products that may be defective and reducing the burden of sellers on the cost of returning low-priced products.
Sellers prepare for returns In the "No Return Refund" tab, you can set up no return refund rules based on price range, product category, return reason, etc. With this setting, you can offer a "No Return Refund" when a customer makes a return request at the return receiving center.
This policy on the Japanese site is not as strict as that on the US site, and sellers are not forced to provide no-return refunds, but can set it up themselves in the background.
In this way, for those products with lower value, when consumers return the products, the seller can choose to refund the consumers instead of requiring a return.

Starting from July 28, 2021, if the total amount of goods is 1,000 yen or less (including consumption tax and shipping costs) and a return address in Japan is not provided in the return request to the overseas seller, the shipping costs will be prepaid.
Amazon said refunds for returns apply with or without a return label, and it expects the change will improve customer convenience while reducing seller burdens related to returns.
