eBay UK: "Fast'N Free" logo replaced, SpeedPAK Mini service suspended

Recently, eBay UK updated an announcement, stating that the product details page and search results will no longer display the "Fast'N Free" logo, but will be replaced by a specific "estimated delivery date", such as "free next-day delivery", "free two-day delivery", "free three-day delivery", etc., which is called the "Simplified Postage Message".

It is reported that when eBay launched the "Fast'N Free" logo, "3-day delivery" was still a very fast delivery speed, but now, "3-day delivery" can only be regarded as a relatively economical transportation method, and "next-day delivery" or "same-day delivery" can be regarded as more attractive transportation methods.

Although eBay has always promised to provide Premium Service to sellers, in fact many consumers still cannot search for products that meet the Premium Service requirements. This time eBay replaced "Fast'N Free" with "Simplified Postage Message". Consumers can see the delivery time displayed on the listing when searching. This may mean that the previous situation is about to change.

On the one hand, the new service launched by the UK site provides convenience to buyers while also putting forward higher delivery service requirements for sellers. On the other hand, eBay China’s official website also issued a “Notice on the Suspension of SpeedPAK Mini UK Service”.

The announcement stated that due to changes in customs regulations after Brexit, SpeedPAK Mini will stop accepting parcels to the UK from April 13, 2021 Beijing time; Mini services to other destinations will operate normally, and sellers are requested to adjust the logistics plans for related electrical products.

International shipping has been in a state of congestion since the second half of last year. After the Spring Festival, the situation finally eased, but it fell into chaos again because the Suez Canal was blocked by the giant cargo ship "Ever Given". Not only did shipping prices soar again and again, but the value of China-Europe trains also rose with the tide, and the situation facing international logistics became more severe. At this juncture, SpeedPAK Mini's suspension of receiving parcels to the UK will probably only make life more difficult for sellers.
