Russia's "Men's Day" is coming, these categories will be hot-selling!

It is reported that February 23 is Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day. At the same time, the Russian Constitution stipulates that all men must serve in the military, so this day is also called Russia's "Men's Day."

 

On this day, many Russian men will receive some small gifts prepared by their friends of the opposite sex, which is also a good opportunity for sellers in the Russian market. Recently, Wildberries analyzed its 80 million online buyer orders from February 1 to February 15, 2022 , and concluded that the products that will be hot-selling on Russia's "Men's Day".

 

It is reported that military rations are one of the most likely gifts to be purchased on Men's Day . Nearly half of Russians plan to send military rations to the defenders around them, and the number of orders for military rations has increased by 490% during this period , especially those gift sets designed to look like real soldier rations. The most popular gift sets are various canned foods, groceries and snacks worth about 1.5-2 thousand rubles .

 

In addition, the most common gift is men's socks . Between February 1 and February 15, 2022 , Russian women ordered the most socks, with the number of orders increasing by 133% compared to the same period in January . Sales of men's briefs increased by 90%, and their popularity was second only to socks . Deodorant ranked third, men's belts ranked fourth, wallets ranked fifth, shaving foam ranked sixth, electric razors ranked seventh, barber tools ranked eighth , and ties ranked ninth .

 

 

Demand for men's cosmetics and perfumes also grew on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day . In the first half of February 202, orders for shaving kits increased by 233% compared to January , orders for grooming kits increased by 422%, orders for deodorants increased by 53%, and orders for cologne increased by 93%.

 

Compared to January, demand for men's eau de toilette increased by 123%, and the popularity of shower gel increased nearly 12 times. Another popular men's gift category is electrical appliances and electronics . In the first half of February, Russian consumers' demand for electric shavers increased by 192%, and demand for beard and hair trimmers increased by 88%.

 

It is worth noting that some mothers are also buying toy weapons, cars, airplanes and helicopters as well as various pre-made models for their little defenders , among which the most popular are prototypes of various car and motorcycle models .
