Sales increased by 171%! Lightweight jackets are very popular in South Korea

As spring arrives and the weather gets warmer , Korean consumers are beginning to look for lightweight outerwear suitable for the seasonal transition.

 

It is understood that the online shopping auction operated by eB ay Korea said on the 2nd that from February 28 to March 30, the sales of women 's jackets increased by 171% compared with the same period last year . In addition, the sales of hooded zippers increased by 41% .


The same was true for men's apparel , with sales of linen jackets soaring 102% and zip-up hoodies up 66% , making them popular with consumers .

 

During the same period, G-Market's sales of seasonal outerwear increased by 76%.

 

Among women's clothing, sales of double-breasted trench coats increased by 76% , while sales of tweed jackets and denim jackets also increased by 29% and 20% respectively.

 

Among men's clothing , sales of suit jackets soared 47% , and were deeply loved by consumers , followed by denim jackets (47%), pajamas (36%), aviation pullovers (9%), etc.

 

During this period, sales of seasonal windbreakers at SPA, a comprehensive manufacturing and distribution brand operated by E-Land World, increased by 50% , and sales of children's clothing brand New Balance Kids also increased by 115%.

 

Comparatively speaking, KUHO, a high-priced brand under Samsung C&T's fashion unit, also saw sales rise 68 percent last month from a year ago as consumer demand for lightweight jackets and windbreakers increased.

 

In addition, according to a survey by the Korea Health Promotion Institute, people's lives have changed after the epidemic, leading to weight gain (12.5%) and reduced exercise (11.4%).

 

In the spring, when people start wearing thinner clothes, many people start exercising to lose weight. A shopping mall in South Korea conducted a survey on the sales of various categories of products in the past month, and the results showed that the sales of steppers increased by 83% and the sales of medicine pills increased by 93%.

 

Now that South Korea's e-commerce platforms are gradually maturing and competition is becoming increasingly fierce, Chinese sellers must adapt to the development trend of the times, grasp the direction of development of the times, constantly explore overseas consumer demand, and enter the fast lane of development as soon as possible.
