Online revenue increased by more than 200%! Sports giant Intersport's e-commerce business is developing rapidly

Swiss sports retail giant Intersport has begun to reduce inventory and increased online revenue by 200% after unifying its inventory with the OneStock OMS platform, foreign media reported.

It is reported that after integrating with the OneStock OMS platform , Intersport has innovated new systems to aggregate all inventory across its entire store network and unify it on a single, comprehensive platform, meaning that the retailer can now offer approximately 90% of its product catalogue for home delivery with a single inventory view.

With a true single view of inventory , Intersport is able to fulfill orders from its omnichannel warehouses and enable ship-from-store functionality . Stores now serve as mini-fulfillment centers for its e-commerce orders, allowing Intersport to enter a new channel of growth .

Intersport said two-thirds of its orders now come from stores and online transactions are also growing significantly.

Philippe Muhr, Director of Webshop/E-commerce and e-CRM at Intersport, said: “Nine months after implementing OneStock OMS, our stores have really adopted it. We have made great progress with it, increasing our online turnover by 200%. Ship from store complements our physical strategy and improves the shopping experience for our customers .

Romulus Grigoras, founder and CEO of OneStock, said: “By creating a true single platform, Intersport will be able to expand their order fulfilment capabilities , significantly reducing the pressure on warehouses and adding new functionality to stores, which will become distribution centres for the network .

This not only improves the customer experience , but also means reduced costs , less inventory pressure, and a boost to Intersport 's e-commerce revenue.

Intersport was founded in 1968 when sporting goods retailers from 10 European countries jointly established a multinational organization, which later became an international sporting goods retail group.

As of February 2021, Intersport has a total of 5,500 stores in 66 countries . It is reported that Intersport's retail sales have exceeded 11 billion euros.

During the epidemic, Intersport changed its development model and achieved the combination of physical and e-commerce. It successfully passed the difficult period of the epidemic and achieved rapid development of online business.
