Sellers, please note! Walmart has opened an international channel, no need to provide a US address and tax number

It is reported that Walmart recently announced that it will open its online platform to sellers outside the United States. Sellers outside the United States can enter the Walmart platform and sell goods on the platform without providing a U.S. address or tax number.

Walmart said: "We have strong relationships with many well-known companies around the world, and we have very strict requirements for some sellers in our industry. Therefore, we are opening our U.S. marketplace to some companies we trust ."

As we all know, Walmart has very strict requirements for sellers, and the entry procedures are quite cumbersome. Therefore, although Walmart began to accept non-US suppliers as early as 2017 , there are still many sellers who have no way to enter and have no idea where to start when faced with the olive branch thrown by Walmart.

It is reported that previously, in order to enter the Walmart platform, sellers were required to be able to fulfill orders located in US warehouses , that is, they must own US warehouses; they must provide a domestic US return address ; and they must provide customer support during US business hours .

But now that a U.S. address or tax number is no longer required, many of the previous restrictions will be lifted, and sellers can easily enter the Walmart platform. It is reported that this move will help Walmart's growth and expansion and narrow the gap between Walmart and its competitor Amazon.

Walmart adopts a different entry procedure from Amazon, namely an invitation procedure. Sellers need to be invited and then carefully checked by the Walmart platform before they can successfully enter.

This reduces unnecessary trouble and reduces risk, because Walmart's invitation registration process allows them to carefully review sellers to ensure the safety of customers and sellers . In addition, it can restrict some substandard and prohibited products from entering the platform.

Currently, Walmart is expanding step by step, and its ambition should not be underestimated. Some people even predict that Walmart is likely to open up to more sellers around the world as time goes by .

Walmart's move will undoubtedly provide great convenience for sellers who want to join the platform. Sellers who want to join Walmart can start taking action ~
