-In July 2017, Omise launched the OmiseGO token based on the Ethereum blockchain, hoping to help users "break free from the shackles of banks", which means providing alternative financial and digital business tools for everyone.

-Omise received investment from Nomura Securities in July 2019. A group of unnamed partners and several venture capital firms that have previously invested in the company also participated in this round of financing, including Sinar Mas Digital Ventures (SMDV), Ascend Money (the fintech division of Southeast Asia's Ascend Group), and Golden Gate Ventures.
