What is Amazon Pricing Status? Amazon Pricing Status Review, Features

On December 4, 2019, Amazon recently announced that in order to make it easier for sellers to view and repair products that have lost the qualification to become recommended items in the shopping cart due to pricing issues, the platform has launched a "Pricing Status" page in the Seller Center.

About Amazon's Pricing

Through this page, sellers can check the pricing status of their products and make appropriate adjustments based on the recommended prices provided by the system to improve their competitiveness among similar products. The release of this page is mainly due to the previous changes to the shopping cart. The launch of the pricing status page is conducive to buyers choosing similar products at lower prices, thereby driving the vigorous development of the entire Amazon ecosystem, but it may also cause a vicious development of price wars between sellers.

Specific Page

From the price determination catalog, we can see the first one is the pricing status:

Go to the Pricing Status page to see how often your products have won the Buy Box since the statistical time. The Buy Box Win Rate provides the average percentage of time that your products that have been viewed by buyers win the Buy Box. The Buy Box is located on the product detail page and allows buyers to "Add to Cart" to start shopping.

Amazon will list products that are priced less than 5% higher than the Buy Box price and sort them according to their estimated sales potential. The Update and Match buttons on the right can directly update the price to win the Buy Box.

Price competitiveness: Price competitiveness shows the percentage of your products that are priced within 10% of the Buy Box price. (The number of products counted here is the number of products that have been viewed by buyers during the statistical period)

Through this page, sellers can check the pricing of their products and make appropriate adjustments based on the recommended prices provided by the system to improve their competitiveness among similar products. The release of this page is mainly due to the previous changes to the shopping cart.
