In May 2019, Amazon announced the launch of a new service called Amazon Counter in the UK and Italy. The service has a "click & collect" option, and tens of millions of items sold on Amazon can be picked up through the counter. This service does not charge additional fees for Prime members. In June 2017, Amazon launched a new delivery method for US customers, Counter: picking up at the counter of a nearby retail store.

Pickup Location

• UK: Amazon has partnered with Next, a major UK fashion chain, to offer a click-and-collect option: Shoppers can now place an order on Amazon.com and pick it up at one of Next’s 500 UK stores.

• Italy: Italian booksellers Giunti, Fermopoint and SisalPay also announced their participation in Amazon's cooperation.

• United States: Amazon is working with pharmacy Rite Aid to launch this delivery method, and Amazon also hopes to get other retailers (including small businesses) to join the program.
