About AbeBooks

  • The website started operating in 1996, with offices in Düsseldorf, Germany and Oviedo, Spain. Today, the website has more than 100 million books on the shelves, attracting 12,880 booksellers from 57 countries and regions around the world to operate here. In 2008, the company announced that it was acquired by Amazon.
  • Abebooks offers six regional sites, namely North America, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and France.
